Smart ATO Micro overfilling?

Hey Reefers, I recently bought a Smart ATO Micro brand new from my lfs. Now, everything is setup correctly. The problem I'm having, and I don't know if it's the ato's fault or something else. But whenever I go to check on my water level in the sump, some times the level will be above the optical sensor. My tank is a Nuvo 25g Lagoon. Any help is much appreciated

I believe I fixed the problem. All I did was place the optical sensor a few inches lower than where it was originally. So far so good, the sumps water level will now always be lower than the overflow area.

@TD13 I do recommend this ato. Its a great device and it comes with everything you need. Took me 5 mins or less to set it up and it's been working phenomenally.

I'm having this same exact problem right now with the 25 lagoon. Are you experiencing odd fluctuations in water level still? I think I'm also dealing with a failing sensor for the micro.

Great atos but u have to make sure the water level in your bucket is lower than the tube goes in the sump or it will back siphon until it is lower.....

Yup,
And on the sump side of the hose make sure the tube is not in the water, but instead above the water
