The max min line doesn't matter. What's important is that you have the proper water level for the skimmer. You don't want to have the third chamber filled all the way. It should be the lowest of the three otherwise the water will not flow properly.

I've been searching the forums for this answer! Can you guys post pics of how you have it set up in your Biocube? I just received the Coralife Version of the 29 and want to install an ATO!

I have my ato about 4 inches from the top of the third chamber to make my skimmer work. If I can figure out how to post a pic, I will.
