sorry if this is posted else where been looking around and cant seem to find what im looking for. just picked up a smart buddie booster pump and trying to tie it into a brs 7 stage with water saver ro/di system. what I have found is that it doesn't seem to want you to plumb it into the main water feeding the r/o which im not sure I understand why not when ever other pump I have seen goes from the supply to the pump to the ro system I would think you would want to increase pressure to the whole system. was about to try the install on this but cant seem to find what is the right way to do it and hoping I might be able to find some help here. Thanks

First off:
Welcome to Reef 2 Reef, and hope you feel at home.

Here's one video that may help.

Ignore the BRS plumbing and plumb it to the aquaticlife instructions.

The BRS plumbing no longer applies; the flush valve, etc is not used.

Is the above video correct or is it outdated?

just curious , why doesn't it go in the main feed to up the water pressure to the whole system. the water pressure to mine is low and also need to up it

Because the Smart Buddie runs off three (small) separate piston pumps.

It looks like it starts boosting after the carbon block, then splits off to your pleasure gauge, and up to the RO membrane.

Can you just take the time to install it like the video shows?

Or, you could have gone with these

It doesn’t pressurize the pre filters. It has them run through the unit because it uses solenoids to flush the prefilters and membrane. Then its pressurized before the membrane.

alright thanks.. that makes more sense that way.. thanks to all that took the time to respond much appreciated
