What do you feel is best camera and/ or app to use for pictures when it comes to smart phones?

The polyplab (or similar) clips are great for color but still lack the clarity when viewing images on larger screens. No doubt a DSLR type camera is probably the best option but I have seen some post with various phone pictures that are good enough they make it hard to justify buying a $400-600 entry level camera.

The camera on my 6S with some basic free editing tools like PS express have given me decent enough shots to have some 3x5/4x6 prints made and hung on my wall. Not great for shooting tanks though. Depends on how serious you are. If you want to explore photography beyond a tank, may be worth taking the leap into a DSLR. If you go that route check online, you may find some good local deals with people selling used bodies with kit lenses.

Honestly the OBD reeflens looks reeaallyyy solid. The pictures I've seen with it are insane. Its definitely the most DSLR-looking lens.

I have an IPhone 8+ and the photos look pretty good with either the yellow or orange aqua lens or using Obscura App which will shoot in RAW (as well as other formats) as long as your looking on the phone screen or small tablet.
I’ve seen a few post that had great pics and think the ones I remember said either Samsung Note 9(?) and also one of the LG models but not sure of the exact model of either.

Personally I prefer to shoot on my phone with the Lightroom app, you can adjust everything almost as good as a DSLR even shoot in DNG (similar to RAW). Much more control. But hard to remember if you’re trying to get a quick shot.

I've been looking at the PolypLab CoralVue lens and the ReefLens by OBD both look nice but I'm a cheap butt.

I found this app called SnapSpeed on the Google play store that seems to work pretty good. I just changed the WB and HDR scape. Threw a boarder around and export. What are your thoughts?
