What do you guys think about them? Have you tried them?

You can turn on/off remotly the pump, skimmer or whatever. Make a schedule for turning on/off refugium lights or reactors, skimmers, wavemakers...

Is there one that would let me group stuff into one? let's say for feeding.

Turn off for 15min, pump, skimmer, wavemaker ?

I use the Kasa HS300 and have it hooked into Home Assistant to fully automate some aspects of my tank.

For example, I have a feed button which turns off skimmer and return pump but leaves on powerheads. After 20 minutes turns return and skimmer back on.

I use a cheap one on my mixing station to manage my heater and pump. I run the pump for 10mins every morning before my AWC starts.

Then when I mix I turn on my heater so it can warm up to 76 for mixing salt.

I have bought a eb4 for my garage so I can do it all in apex.

Although I have Sooooo many outlets and controls now.

These are very useful for certain things. Big gotcha is that for most of them, if they lose internet connection they will stay in their current state indefinitely. Very risky for any sort of dosing etc. I use them mostly for things that don't matter as much e.g. turn my skimmer back on an hour after feeding.

Thanks exactly what I wanted to know! I was looking at the same model!

Cool thanks!

Yeah this is my main concern! But nowadays some have smart memories included.

I have two Kasa smart power strips and they have worked well for me and my level of complexity for what I do with my tank. You can set a schedule or just use it to turn your stuff off and on such as the skimmer and ato when doing a water change by a push of a button on your phone.

Ok so I can combine the the skimmer/ato one button for a waterchange?

I do not rely on their scheduling unless it is for things that do not matter much like a sump light or additional wave maker. then if they get stuck on a scheule for a bit it is ok

I'm not sure, I just hit the two buttons on the app next to each one to turn it off. Also you can hear a click when it is turned off and on so that is nice. I haven't dived too deep into the app to see what you can setup.

I prefer the ADJ power strip. Its just a standard and I use them so I can turn anything off without searching for the plug. Old school but it works well on my systems.

The Kasa outlet strips are the modern day Wi-Fi based replacement for the ADJ multi switch boxes reef keepers have used for the last couple of decades. The Kasa is certainly more compact. Hopefully they keep their programming if (when) the Wi-Fi drops out.
