Smat farms led from Amazon

Hey all, I've been in touch with Smat farms some more. They've recently been working on a new mount for these lights! In a little over a month they'll be released on Amazon officially, after the previous stock with the older arms is depleted from what I understand.

They've opted for a kessil look this time, and as an owner of the original arm, this looks a lot better!
I am going to be switching out my Red Sea 90s for these...but I will wait until the new version comes out with the updated arms.

I'm showing a $10 coupon available, so actually only $133.
If you buy 2, there is a an additional savings, at least that's what was shown yesterday, but I am waiting on until they come out with the updated arms. I like the one they currently have, (I have it), but definitively want the new arms...I will be buying 3 of them

Does anybody know if there is a way to mount this inside of a canopy? I haven’t found any options for brackets.

I have a friend here who can probably print you a mount. He can get the measurements from my light. He makes awesome printed mounts and so many other things as well. I’ll tag him here @neon_reefer

Thanks will keep that in mind, currently designing stand and canopy and making equipment choices. maybe next version may also have mount choices.

Hello fellow reefer.. I see you are in need of a light mount for a canopy setup...
I can help with that.. :)

If you look up my classified ads, you can see that I print lighting mounts for different LED manufacturers and adapt them to a canopy or any rail system available.

Anyone have any details in comparing 2 of these to 2 Viparspectras in use for a 75 gallon mixed tank?

Controllability and spread is a lot better with smat farms. The vivs are a lot stronger but you would have to hang quite high to get a decent spread and you do not have much control over light configuration like you would with smat farms

Anyone want to help me out on setting channels? Don't want to whiteout my corals lol. the lights are 6 Inches from water surface and it's 28 inches from the light to the bottom of the tank, mixed corals, and I'm getting algae build up on the glass

I replied to your message... If u start to get pale colors just turn your white channels down 5-10% from the settings you sent me. The algae on glass has a lot to do with parameters and filtration but everyone gets film algae. All we can do is minimize it

How long do you have the lights running? and I would also state or add, if there are sps, generally speaking, they should be at the top of the aquarium closer to the light. This is my current set-up with the same light and using Tropic Marin AFR:

ALK: 8.07
CA: 442
MG: 1256
TEMP: 78.2
PH: 8.19

Dosing: 1ml of Tropic Marin NP Bacto-Plus daily at 11:30 am (Dosing Program, via Doser)
Dosing: 11.3ml of Tropic Marin All for Reef Daily (Dosing Program via Doser)

A: 15
B: 90
C: 90
D: 65
E: 10
F : 30

Light Schedule
10 am Apex Turns ON Light Schedule
10:00-11 am Moonlight Phase

I mounted mine inside the canopy using the factory bracket. I attached the light to the bracket extension piece that it comes with. I then screwed that bracket into my hood. I can try and get photos for you to see.
