Anyone ever add something like bleach to decrease the smell in a skimmate locker. I have a 1.5 gallon container in my cabinet that catches skimmate, it is made by Bashea, i placed a larger carbon filter over the top of the the unit but as it is a predator tank the skimmate is extra stinky. Any suggestions. My reef tank has a DIY 5 gallon collector similar to the ones Avast used to sell but never had any smell issues and if I do it is located in a fish room with ventilation.

You can place a small nylon bag with carbon in the skimmate locker but realize, this is the area where all feces, inorganics and waste end up and like a septic tank, its never going to be pleasant
