I just received my shipment of Ricordea from Coral Fanatics. I opened the box and the bags were full of milky brown water. After I opened them it smelled like death warmed over, like a dead rotten snail smell, in addition none of the ricordea were attached to the rubble rock in bag. Any suggestions here as far as survival and future attachment to rock ? I can't just let them float around tank, my Vortech MP10 will kill them.

they sound dead, but im not expert, those mushrooms are resilient. Put them in a tupper ware container with all rubble at the bottom and cover them with something thats porous so they wont escape and are forced to attach themselves to either the container (which u can cut and use the plastic as a "frag plug" type deal and glue to somewhere in your tank) or ideally the rubble. Did this with a hitch hiking yellow ric and it worked wonderful. Just be careful not to put anything that will leech any contaminants in your tank! good luck and be patient I have had one come back from COMPLETE bleaching and shrinking to being beautiful green.
