Good morning-afternoon

I have a very stupid question, but like a great person told me (more then once) "son, stupid questions make more sense than stupid mistakes".
So there we go. I have the water filters and mixing tank in my garage. No basement here, sometimes I do wood working projects using oil based stains or poly. And fumes/ smells get to be a pain. I'm not concerned with the man glitter (sawdust) because the container has a lid. but what about the smells/fumes? Will the fumes affect the water when is in the tank? Like changing the chemistry of salt water. My fish be getting high on fumes..

Thank you in advanced for your opinions.

So your mixing station is in the garage, and whenever you are working on projects its a closed system? I don't think you will have any issues if you keep it closed when you are working on other projects, and with fumes you should be venting the garage in some way so just continue to keep the containers closed while in use and when that is venting and I don't see any issues.

My RO/DI is in the garage, i make water as needed but I don't run into any issues, and I woodwork and stain and poly in the garage as well.
