225 display with 100 sump and lately I've been getting this damp smell from my sump area. The living room is very very well ventilated. I just recently added a power head in my sump and replaced my carbon even tried baking soda in the stand yet it still smells damp, ocean, stuffy etc. What do you guys recommend?

The sump is in the cabinet under the tank? Is that cabinet ventilated somehow
No ventilation inside just a huge vent on one side and a huge hole I cut out to fit the sump and never closed in the other. I was recommended heavily to put a fan due to possible mold in scr
I am assuming you have carpet? Did you ever spill water on it by accident? Ever since I got rid of my carpet I got rid of that nasty musky feeling around the tank.

Also as Randy said, is your cabinet ventilated?
It's actually tile. I would not dare have a tank in anything other than tile after the amounts of water I have spilled during water changes fish acclimation and rodi "incidents" lol

Out or in? I bought a fan last night and have it blowing air in

Either works. I blow air out of my hood, assisting the natural direction of the heated air (straight up), but in a side vent it won't matter.

Ok, I have air blowing in. Over night saw a big difference this morning.

Just wanted to update I moved the fan last night to the other end of my stand so that it's hitting the drain/ skimmer area and blowing air out. All smell is now gone. Even dropped the fan speed to the lowest setting and it's a tiny tiny desk fan. Freaking awesome! Thanks for the tips guys!
