Hey all. This looks like a wonderful community here @ R2R. I can't wait to start checking out everyone's builds! I figured I should share mine before I get lost in all the other tanks here.

Tank has been up and running for just over 6 months. I seeded the tank with Dr.Tim's bacteria and Mb7. Rock mostly dried mined. Sand is a mix.
Tank:
Cadlights 180g display - 48x31x27 tall
Cadlights 70 glass sump
SCA 66g display refugium

Current lighting:
Radion G3 pro x2
Supplemented by 4 54w t5

Flow:
1 Mp40qd and 1 Gyre 150 in display
Magdrive 24 return feeds everything
Fuge:
1 white box Mp40w
2 nano stream tunze pumps in sump to fight detritus build up

Filtration:
Unkown amount of live rock
3" sand bed in both display and refugium
Bubble Magus Curve 9 skimmer
Carbon in TLF reactor

Misc:
Geo 618 CaRx running TLF newborn and Zeomag (but seems not to break down at 6.6) I'll be trying NeoMag here shortly.
Bubble Magus doser picking up the slack for Magnesium and a small amount of calcium.

Controller:
Neptune Apex controls every almost everything on my tank.

1/3hp chiller
300w heater

Current Parameters:
1.025 - D&D H2o
Alkalinity 8.3
Calcium 400 (rasing up slowly)
Magnesium 1400
Phosphates 0.02
Nitrates 2.5
I dose 4 drops of lugols iodine a day
That's all I'm testing for, so that's all I dose for now.

Livestock:
Coral:
zoanthids
mushrooms
LPS
Sps
NPS
Anemones

Fish:
Naso tang
Bali pink anthias
Cherub angel
What I believe to be a Mata Mata tang
Blue spotted goby
Neon Goby
Black Percula Clownfish pair
Lori Anthia - looking for more
Leopard Wrasse
Melanurus Wrasse
blue green chromis

I've recently lost some of the fish pictured to what must have been some sort of ich outbreak triggered by a 3 day blackout to kill of dinoflagellets. I lost a beautiful Yellow Eye Kole, 5 dispar anthias, 1 lori anthia and 1 bali pink anthia, my yellow bellied skunk clown pair in my display fuge.

The dino even also bleached a lot of my sps (I believe that was the cause). I'll get some more up to date pictures once everything starts coloring up again.

Here is a picture from a few weeks back, before my system got a little upset. Its on the mend now, I'll post some current pictures here soo.

Love your tank!!!! I'm planning a similar tank and also thinking of Mp40 with Gyre. How do you like them together and what do you run them at? Thanks

I love the combo, best of both worlds IMO.

I set the gyre to a long pulse at about 75% intensity. The pulse is long enough to really pick up debris on the sandbed.

My mp40 is on the opposite end of the tank. It cycles through several modes during the day, but mostly reef crest at 100%. It somewhat battles the gyre, getting over powered during the long pulse, but then gives a nice random flow in the opposite direction during the pause of the gyre.

My sand bed and rock scape is detritus free, and I get a nice aggressive sway between the pumps, which I love.

I'd suggest the combo if you're thinking about it. Both pumps are extremely quiet and powerful.

So colorful man. Congratulations!
Thank you! I'm very happy with this build so far.

Looking good man, I love the rockwork you have, not to mention all the corals covering it. Is that a leopard wrasse? Kind of hard to tell, beautiful fish regardless

Yep! One of my favorite fish in the tank. Beats my Naso off the nori strip, ballsy little guy.
Hey Matt!
Hey Bud! Didn't know you were on here too. I picked up those MH fixtures. Trying to decide on wheter to run them at 250w or 400w, whactha think? I'm going to keep the radions for supplementation.

Also, anyone have a tip for battling bubble algae? Is there anything, other than some emerald grabs, that naturally eat it? My hood makes it extremely hard to all the way in there to syphon pick them out.

These pics are from different times, so some coral may be in different spots. Just wanted to get some of my fish pictured that I still have.

Beautiful tank!
love those fish!
Looking good!! :)

Thanks guys! I added 2 400w pendants to my tank. I've still got the radions for supplementation. Everyday the sticks are gaining color.

Whatever took out some of the anthias is still reeking havoc on the rest of my fish. I've been soaking rods reef in amino acids, garlic, selcon, metro & focus for one of the daily feedings. One heals and another has a breakout. I'll probably need to set up a hospital tank, which I should have done in the first place, and go fallow for 10 weeks. Major bummer.
