Nice! I say leave it open. I would visualize corals, full blown colonies and their growth pattern and place the rock accordingly. I think people get caught up in how the rock looks bare, instead of focusing on the future colony that's going to take up that space. I like the first pic, but I like the individual island/bommie scapes the best. It always reminds of the reef flats I usually snorkel in. Good start, can't wait to see what's next.Little glimpse at what’s going on for the new tank.
Played around with rocks, sand and glue most of yesterday. The box is 2” shorter all around than the tank will be but here is the basic layout. The market is a rough of where this tanks scape will slide in. Front left will be Left open for potential gigantea someday. Going back and forth between upper level or leaving it open and let coral growth fill the space.
I’m struggling to figure out how to work Mh into the setup without making a huge canopy. I think I’m going to stick with the 3 G5’s and try and score some 360 Kessils as they pop up used for shimmer and to blend the tank out more white.
Now to get this cycling for a couple months!
Another reef buddy said the same thing and i agree. Specially if I’m going to do mostly stags on the center rock might as well let them grow up and fill that in. I’ll just have to fight my urge to have more space to buy more stuff! I’ve probably already got more pieces in my 75 then I should for this build.

I don't have any water in my 25g lagoon and it's already filled.

Yeah, they're the only led that comes close to that MH look, which is what drew me to them when I was looking for led's. I'm a huge fan of using different led's together, because not one led does everything, but when mixing them, you can cover the shortcomings of the other.
R. Florida. Yuma will have rows or patterns to the "bubbles" whereas florida just seems random. Also, there will be no bubbles on the mouth (oral disc) of florida. Yuma tend to be less forgiving and can be delicate. They look great! Tank is looking great!(Yuma? or Ricordia?) Hanging tough in the high light and flow thats in this section. Direct fire from a mp40. It's hard to tell how many are on there they are so tight.

Ahh filters no longer needed
I decided to swap out my g5 blues for a 36" reefbrite hybrid system. These are under 250w 14k Hamilton lamps driven by the RB ballasts. It has the xho strips but I stll need to set them up.
I'm 12" off the top of tank and will be running at 8 hours with a short 30 of XHO on both ends. My next system will be MH so I'm acclimating them back to MH now, so it's one less change when it's time to swap over.
