Smith's Reef's 90G Rescue!

Stand looks strong.

Stand looks strong.
Thanks, Rev. I really tried to put some work into the stand to make sure that would not be my point of failure. I'll let the failure come in later when I don't know how to grow corals!

Update... Finally!

Well, it's been a while since we've updated. We've had enough time to get in the house and setup the tank... and plan for the new tank, lol! Here's the 90 as it stands now: I've already built the stand to move this off the counter, though, and the 125 that is currently hanging out in the utility room will be taking center stage! We'll give up the rest of the counter and the 125 will be end drilled. It'll be 2 side viewable with the sump underneath.

Someone asked me if I thought that countertop would hold up that tank for any amount of time. Heck No! Lol! The tank is actually sitting on a tank stand and the rest of the counter support is a (currently unfinished) cabinet. The countertop is actually cut around the base of the tank.

Not a great picture, but gives an idea that the tank is truly supported. We're in the middle of renovating this house and I sure don't want 90-ish gallons of salt water all over the wood floors.

Looks good!

Thanks! It's a work in progress. In retrospect, I would have custom built a larger sump and spent the money on a new skimmer. The AquaC EV120 I've got is "finicky" at best. The new 125 has a custom 55g sump that will give me all the room I need.
