Hi reefers,
do you know why my millepora has some smooth parts???
it s getting more and more smooth parts...

The purple areas at the base? That looks odd, like the new growth forgot to build coralites haha. Looks good otherwise. Was there coralites there previously or did it happen just as it grew it’s base?

no they were coralites and they are disapearing, it s gonna die this way...

If you're talking about the circle portion, it just looks like growth to me.

No, no, this one is ok, it the frag just down the circle, the green millepora, the base is purple and was all green 1 month ago, today it s worst than the posted picture

So are those parts exposing skeleton or are they areas of actual smooth tissue? Looks like TN to me based on those difficult to judge pics.

It s not like necrosis, it s tissue but smooth and purple, really weird
I have this on other milleporas

can you get better pics? So it’s live tissue with no corallites or polyps? Flow problem at the areas?

Not sure about the coloring but very slow to no growth the coralites tend to smooth out and lose the sharp edges. New branch growth or sprouts will show good coralite growth and edges.
