This is my current tank its an AR300 and has been up and running for a few years now. I have high hopes of an upgrade but a New Roof on the house has put that squarely on hold for now... :(

So a little History lesson now that I am setup and posted.... I started fish keeping at least 15 yrs ago... Tropical fish had always been in the family as my Grandfather kept a three foot troical Angel tank... I would sit for hours as a youngster watching the tank.... My first tank wasn't anyhtinf special a 3x2x18 under gravel filter tropical tank... A replica of my Grandfathers in fact.... When he passed away his Angels became my Angels... A few years later we moved and during transit I lost the remaining fish I had.... So with an empty tank I decided to change direction it was at that time I started down the salty path with Brackish Ciclids... 30 of them smashing colours very active and great to watch.... But also very aggressive with each other within weeks I had 12 left natural selection maybe not understanding the fish more like it... I continued with them for a while but the salt was calling me...

Truly salty.... I purchased an open topped Osaka 320 as my first Salty tank using stock T5's and an external filter with great success as far as the fish were concerned but little success with corals... Again we moved this time to our own home... Mortgage in hand a downsize of tank was needed... The Osaka 180 was my next tank... Again the same success with fish.... But this time I binned the stock T5's and switched to 8 Aquaray LED uníts with the controller... oMG I was hooked to LED... Corals were growing the fish were happy... For a few years I convinced myself this had been the right move smaller was easier it was cheaper etc.. etc... and then out of the blue SWMBO said the magic words.... Get yourself a bigger tank and stop sulking.... My AR300 was born after a somewhat complicated 2000 mile collection process... It was in a few days later it was wet and that weekend it was all over the little Osaka was gone sold for a song and the AR was alive.... Several years later it's still my main Display but the upgrade bug has bitten... I will post my plans but for now that's me. Thank to those who have Welcomed me so far. If you have any questions fire away. Regards Ian. (sn2per)

So a lot has changed since my last posting... Spent weeks in hospital thinking I was about to die... Only to be told I could have.... Swapped my AR300 for a custom built 4x2x2 rimless tank.... Got it home cleaned it up and found some lovely scratches that I wasn't told about... Had no choice but to fill the tank as everything was in plastic containers... The scratches are really noticeable close up and during the afternoon during high light... Once the blues start to kick in not so much... I will start a new thread please bear with me.
