Hello,

I just noticed these hard, egg like things on one of my rocks. They seem like brown, curled, hard eggs. They don't seem to move. I have some bristle worms in the tank but they don't seem like bristle worm eggs. CUC isn't eating them because I've had these for a bit now. I just had a ton of baby snails show up recently. I can't find a similar pest to these so I thought I'd ask. Should I leave them or remove them? Thank you!!

Vermitid worms. SOme are appalled to see them and consider them a threat to corals. I've never had issues with them (outside of getting poked by the calcerous tubes having to move rocks) and considering their feeding method reduces the microbial load of a system it can be argued they provide a benefit to a reef system.
