Snail eggs?

Can anyone tell me if these are some type of snail eggs? I noticed the coral seemed stressed and found large clusters of white slimy capsules at the base. I also noticed a small group of them near the mouth, they were removed with a syringe. Are these anything to be concerned about? Thank you!

I see the shell of the possible Epitonium, but the only problem is they don't lay eggs like that. Epitonium eggs kind of look like tortoise eggs attached by string
 
Thanks for all the great information. Turns out there are at least a couple hundred of those snails in my sandbed that pop up when I feed. I've never noticed any on my corals but I don't want to take the risk. I will be transferring everything into a larger tank soon and would like to get them taken care of before I set up the new system. Any tips on eradicating them? Thank you!
