As I was fragging some zoos I flipped the rock over and found this snail under the rocks edge with zoos growing on the snails shell. I've seen a few of these in the sand but I'm not losing any zoos at all. Should I be concerned about this snail? I've taken a few photos to give as good a pic as I can. TIA

yeah its an operculum of a snail
what snails do you have in your tank? its probably whatever is in your tank

The snails in my tank are Astraea Snails, Turbo Snails, Nassarius snails, Cerith Snails and Bumble Bee Snails. I may have missed a one or two.

That's weird looking!

What does "door" mean?

I use door loosely as the physical part of the snail that shuts as a protective defense from being attacked by some aggressive crabs in search of a new home. As Fate8X posted the correct name an operculum. Nice job Fate8X
