Snail hiding in sand

I just bought a turbo snail and I haven't seen him do much of anything today (at 1my time and now 8 pm) he went straight under the sand and hasn't came out is that normal

No, some snails do this but it is not normal behavior for a turbo snail afaik.

Yeah, it is probably a nassarius snail. Posting pictures would help identify it, but out of all the different snails I have purchased, only the nassarius dig into the sand like that.

Yep, most likely a Nassarius snail. They come out of the sand when I feed. My Turbos hide behind the rocks during the day and come out at night.

You might see it when it's out after lights out as well.
