Snail hitching a ride on my conch?

Sorry, no pic rn. But I have a conch that I assumed just had two spirals, which I thought was cool. But today I saw one of the spirals peek out and a poke around with a black tentacle! It has never come off of the shell, and most of the time is completely flush. I’m afraid it’s a parasite.

Anyone had something like this happen? And any ideas on what critter might do this?

Here’s some pics. It’s the cleaner spiral. The flesh on the critter inside is black but very much alive.

Limpets are considered to be good clean up crew.
They are also known to suddenly appear in tanks where they were never intentionally introduced and move very slowly if at all in most cases.

I would also be careful with keeping a conch without a sand bed. They naturally live in/on sand.
