Hey all,

Just found a couple of these guys in my new live rock. I looked around a little bit online and here, but couldn't find any pics. Anyone know what it is? Thanks in advance!

What type of snails are these and are the friend or foe ?

Stomatella great cleanup crew
Oh awesome thanks so much. I’m way paranoid nowadays. My BTA looked like it had been being munched on a while back and I found a Nudibranch under a rock. Knew they weren’t Nudi’s but freaked when I saw them

I think first picture is possibly conch lace murex

Edit: Yup the more pictures I look at I am pretty sure its a lace murex

I would want you to look a little deeper regarding its lifestyle as well. I have some memory of that one being predatory toward snails and clams.

I wouldn't consider them reef safe apparently they eat clams. Here is a screen shot with some info.

Watch them if you have clams and/or snails in the tank. If you don't have and they don't have what to eat.., they will die and gone, so if you QT that rock, probably soon you find out they are good or bad for you.
