Any chance to have magnif. lens around? and using it to take macro photo of it ? some times I'm taking photos that way, to get better look in details (probably any reading lenses can do the job for you)

I truely appreciate all the help trying to identify this little guy. Too much doubt to add him back in.

Sundials will have an operculum (a hard shell-like covering on their foot), trochus and collonistas lack this protection. Look after lights out, if you find more, then it's most likely a collonista, especially describing the spiral is oriented to the side. Sundials have segmented shells, like the picture showed earlier in this thread.
