Hi all, saw a couple of snails in my tank that I can't ID.

These are tiny and very fast. maybe 2mm-3mm.

Maybe baby marginella snails?

Haven't noticed then doing anything bad yet.

I got a big order in from reefcleaners a couple months ago, but didn't order anything that looks like these.

Video here:
Thanks!

Yeah, I'm fairly confident these guys are from the Volutoidea superfamily, most likely either the Marginellidae family or the Cysticidae family.

The "Glowing Marginella" (reportedly Marginella plumiosum) looks pretty close; if that's a match, they're confirmedly carnivorous, but I can't find info from anyone not selling them if that's in a predatory way or in a Nassarius snail kind of way - I'd assume they're safe and not predatory, but I don't know for sure (lots of less-than-honest vendors, unfortunately).

*edit

Hmm doesn't look like the marginella I have in my tank so I wonder if the eggs got brought in with the order. Now to keep or not hmm
