Sure, will do tomorrow when the light is on. These guys disappear at night.Could you yank it out and get some more pictures?
Possibly, I didn't notice it but I will keep an eye next time. Do they breed in captivity like the trochus? Not sure but it looks like a nassarius snail to me. Does it bury itself in the sand and pop out when you feed?
Great thank you very much.Ya, that's a Nass.
I was wondering how common is it for them to breed, I do add phyto to the tank every day not sure if that even related but if I have to guess I probably saw at least 50 or little more.Haven't had much luck with them breeding. They arent algae eaters though. They eat leftover food and are good sand stirers.
As far as I can tell I can take more pictures tomorrow while they are out. This is one I took earlier when I was trying to get the first picture. Are you sure it's the exact same type?
Ok hold on, I decided to feed the tank to see if they would come out and they did. Taking pictures and will post them right now.I've never known a Nass to breed in our tanks, is why I'm a little perplexed.

Can you maybe net out who pops up? Let's see how many were talking about.
