Snail ID?

Hi, I recently noticed a bunch of these tiny snails coming out at night. Population seem to be increasing. Anybody know what they are and are they reef safe? Thanks!

Hmm im stumped. The shell looks similar to a nassarius but looks almost like a baby cerith. Then I look up baby ceriths and it doesnt look like that either lol ;Facepalm

Can nassarius breed successfully in a tank? Due to their long platonic stage, voting some species of Cerithium.

Could it be red banded trochus? It was the only snail that I added.

Baby trochus look like mini versions of the adults.

It does not appear to be Nassarius sp; there is no "trunk", which is characteristic of this species.
On the other hand, Cerithium sp usually have smaller antennas.

But ... it seems to be a herbivorous snail, since it is working on algae. It should be a good CUC, but you should keep an eye on it.

I'd be mostly worried about them getting into pumps and other equipment at that size. Unless they're coral eaters, in which case I would definitely worry about that the most.
