Snail id

I have a snail which a shell that looks like a tiny conch shell. The shell is black. The body of the snail is a bright red color

Need a better, clearer pic to be sure. Could be a whelk? Usually their snouts are "tattooed" looking.

Yes I do have some Florida rock never noticed it until tonight. I also have this bright pink snail

How come you got all the cool live rock junk

I ordered wet live rock specifically for the critters and only ended up with stomatella and bristle worms

Doubting a conch due to the shell shape, conchs have that distinctive shape from the beginning

Sorry, the snail is dark and everything else is light around it, so it's hard to see the actual snail itself. Shine a light on it directly while taking the pic.

Does not seem to have that long snout that whelk have. The underside of the snail is the red color where the red foot snail is white underneath

Yeah, I couldn't make out the snout at all, but I'm not ruling out the horse conch based the foot color. Whelks will have a snout.
