Those look very similar to something I found in my tank when I was tearing it down earlier this week. I had a friend whose been in the hobby for a very long time helping me get it ready to move. They informed me that it was actually a type of worm that most people confuse with snails because of their shell. Either way they aren't good to leave unchecked if you can control or get rid of them. Apparently my bumblebee snails liked to eat them which is why I never noticed them in my tank before then.

Maybe someone else can offer a better id but I would say get rid of them.

That is what I found. Someone else with more experience may know better.
They are like feather dusters if I am correct
That was my impression as well. I don't think they actually do anything bad beyond annoying or possibly agitating some corals. They sounded more like a possible nuisance that's hard to get rid of.

Probably something can be added to feast on them. Seems to be a dog eat dog world in an aquarium
