Snail ID

Purchased 50 Trochus snails from LiveAquaria. Can anybody ID this snail?

Possibly some species of whelk, a carnivorous snail.

Looks like a welk, I pulled one out of my tank when it was eating a bumble bee snail. Here is a picture of its shell to compare.

Agree with the other replies. There's a chance it's not a whelk, but better to be safe than sorry. You really don't want the bad guys in your tank.
