This little guy seems to feed by casting a mucous net and reeling in particles. Fascinating little guy, and appears to be harmless

Vermetid snail. Go to dollar store and get a tube of GEL superglue and place dab over opening and it will starve.
Other option is to break off the tube its in at the base and discard. Make sure you get whole tube though

I always thought vermetid snails were smaller and thinner, like this guy:

This one's huge, over an inch wide with the whole shell

Tube worms/spinoids are smaller. Vermetids can get huge
