So im new to saltwater tanks. I started mine about 9 months ago. Its a 120 gallon tank. I have a 30 gallon sump. I do not use a protein skimmer. I my levels are good where they need to be. My salinity is @ 1.024. I do have .25 copper in the tank i just checked today. Originally I had snails and they were fine. My problem is i that I dont have any snails now. They always die within an hour. I have tried three separate times. I tried to add a starfish and a urchin once and the same thing happened. I have my own R/O water set up to do my water changes. When I acclimate them I put the bags in the water and every 10-15 minutes i swap out about 1/4 of the bag water for my tank water. Also i have 13 fish in my tank that have been alive and well For 4 months. Thank you

Any copper is bad. Thats why copper based treatments should be done to fish only in a quarantine tank. Corals and inverts can not tolerate copper. Run some carbon, dont add more snails until you test 0. Be sure to drip acclimate, inverts are sensitive.

Run so carbon to get rid of the copper. Are you acclimating them correctly? More detailed water test results might help direct you further.
