Hello everyone I am new to this I have a saltwater tank that is 2 years old. I only have some fish and some dry base rock ( life rock from Petco ) and live sand from petco. Tank is a 40gal breeder with a 15 gal sump. I have a iceKap skimmer and a lifeguard uv. And Kessel tuna blue lighting .

My question is where did these Creatures come from I have not added any source for these to hitchhike in to my tank. Does anyone know what these are?

They move around the glass alot, I had to clean off the front of the tank now they are all sitting at the bottom. Did I kill something beneficial?

Limpet or stomatella. Both normal inhabitants

Thanks, any idea how I got them in the tank?
Anything that was added from another tank can bring them in. Coral, rock, substrate.

That's the odd thing, I haven't put anything else in this tank. It was started dry. No live rock, no corals in the tank just fish.

They can also come in on frag plugs or at the base of corals. Have you added any coral?

They will reproduce in your tank, no real issue except they can mess up power heads (with no shields) and keyhole limpets. I have several species of limpets and they are a awesome CUC

Its a limpet and reef safe algae eater
