Snail like critter

Hi all, any ideas what these guys are? Have a bunch cropping up in my tanks from time to time

Those are snail opercula (singular operculum) - that's the "door" they close themselves into their shells with.

Edit: To add, you'll only find these laying around when the snails are dead - normally they're attached to the snails.
