Hello,
Please help me identify this snail, it was on my zoa frag. I noticed it when i took the plug off the frag, it has a tiny hard shell. Can it transfer it to my tank? I dipped my zoas in coral RX before putting them in my tank, if the snail is worth keeping can I dip it as well ? The water from LFS has pleny of microscopic things swimming in it, some look like pods, some like flatworms maybe... I know about quarantine, but I really have no way of setting it up. Let me know please if i should keep the snail.
Thanks.

Lookup sundial snail and compare.

I can't zoom in enough on your pics to see the pattern on the shell clearly.

I took two more shots, and fount that its in fact two snails. one is about a 1/4 of an inch and the other is about half the size of a match head riding on the other ones back... crazy. They look similar to pictures of sundial snails I found online, especially the tiny one as its shell is more cone shaped than other one.

Looks like a stomatella from the pic.

Thank you DCS, The bigger one really does look like it, now that you mentioned it. But the smaller one has a cone shaped shell. If I was to keep the bigger one, is it safe to dip snails in Coral Rx?

Look up stomatella. They look like a slug with a flat shell on their back that looks like a saddle. If it’s one of these it’s a keeper. They are great cleaners and breed like rabbits.
