Snail or something else living in my rock?

This came out from a crevice in a piece of live rock. I’m not sure what it is a snail? It came out for a minute and went back in. I’ve never seen it before ( that rock has been in the tank for about 2.5 months. It was purchased from LFS. It appears to have a shell that looks something like a mussel shell. Anyone have any ideas?

That is a stomatella. Very good snail.

I have a question for you guys. The piece of rock on the right side of the first picture has a fuzzy haze on it. What is that? I have notice the rocks in my tanks is starting to look like that and have no idea what it is.

I believe is hair algae but in my tank it’s brown not green. I have been trying to get rid of it for a few months now.

Not hair algae ... possibly sponge, possibly bacterial growth. In either case, usually not something to worry over.
