Sorry for the blurry pic. I can get a better one tomorrow. What is the brown lump on this snail? Just got this little guy and he came in with it on his shell. I thought it was a sponge at first but it's hard like a shell. Feels just like a snail shell too. It looks like the lump's shell is growing with the snail's shell as it fits the surface perfectly even over the surface texture. I also just noticed that it lifts up off the snail shell slightly and I can see some kind of soft body like it's a limpet or something. I tried looking up snail parasites but it only turned up parasitic snails. Is this a harmless hitchhiker or does it need to be removed?

Pretty cool. Will need the better pic when you can. But could be sponge or another type of snail or limpit.

Looks like some kind of slipper but I can't find the exact type. Didn't see anything online about them being predatory just filter feeders. They will attach to a anything and stay there indefinitely. Thanks for the help everyone. This slipper should do well in my tank. I have lots of filter feeders doing well.
