Snail question

I just added my clean up crew yesterday. Is it common for the snails to hangout near the rim of the tank along the water line? Do I have to worry about them leaving the tank?

My snails do that once in a while, and never get any higher than an inch above the water line. I think you are fine

alright just making sure, hate to come home and one be crawling across my floor

I think your fine Snails at my LFS always crawl up to the overflow waterfall and into the next tank (there are 5 connected) but only venture to the sections with water. If it's dry they steer clear of it

Sounds like a Nerite snail. Had 1 Nerite decided to polished our wood floor.

they are astraea turbo snails.
