Snail question

I'm in the process of adding some snails. I was looking at one of the packages from reef cleaners. They come highly recommended. One thing I don't understand is why they don't sell trochus snails. They have merited instead which don't seem to be nearly as good. What is everyone else's opinion on nerites vs trochus. I'd hate to spend money on a package that includes merited if most of the time they hangout on the top of my tank trying to escape.

I like trochus because they are so versatile, can right themselves if flipped over and breed readily in captivity. However, as you have discovered they can be hard to find sometimes. Reef Cleaners sells Florida snails and doesn't carry trochus because they are primarily from Indonesia.
