Does he not go under the sand? I would think that would slough it off. Interesting!!I thought this was cute.
A discosoma is growing on my nassarius. Thought it would be a short relationship but they've been together for weeks/months now.

No, for some reason this one sleeps on top of the sand. When I took that photo, he was sleeping on the glass for several hours. Strange one.

Haha thanks! I don't know tbh, when I first put him in the tank I didn't see him for a month so he could have been hiding under the sand then or behind a rock. I thought he was a goner. Since then I usually see him on top of the sand near the front of the tank.
