Hi All,

I found these little guys in my aquarium tonight and have not the slightest idea what genus/species they could be from. I've been in the aquarium hobby for almost 15 years and have never seen them before. They appear to eat algae (as seen from the pictures below) they leave quite a trail through the algae on my overflow box. I was hoping to find more info on them so if anyone has any thoughts please let me know!

The closest I can find is http://www.seaslugforum.net/find/bullampu

(I took the best pictures I could with my phone sorry if they are not the greatest).

It doesn't have antenna, eyes, or an external shell (the shell for this guy seems to be covered in a thin fleshy layer). I'm also unable to see a mouth /radula so I do not believe that it is a stomatella snail.

Hard to tell much from the pictures, but maybe a bubble snail?

edit: which is what you linked in your post:)

Stometella game.

OP is right. this is not a stomatella

shell - body relationship and movement looks similar to a caulerpa slug (snail) which is also a kind of bubble snail.
The linked bubble snail in the first post seems a really good match.
especially when you compare the body silhouette in the 3rd pic to the body shape in the link for the Bulla snail.
