In my qt tank I have trochus astrea and nassarius Snails, a couple Blue leg hermits, an urchin and some coral frags...I just noticed this slug on the glass anyone know what it is?

Common flatworm. If you can remove them before they are in plague proportions you will be ahead of the game, although because it is a QT if you are careful - inspect each and every frag and if needed dip them prior to putting them in your tank - you can avoid introducing them to your DT.

When they do get into your DT, many wrasses find them to be a delicacy. I know my Leopard wrasse demolished a thriving population of them in short order.

yea I’ve been dipping all the frags when I get them I guess it may have come in on a piece of live rock when I started the tank...never a dull moment...thanks for the reply

More than likely amphiscolops sp, harmless pod eating FW, unlike red planaria and the different "pest" FW, I dont consider this type as pests at all.

No need to take any action.

I agree. They are commonly called ghost flatworms. They eat copepods and aren't something to really worry about. I had them in sump for months and now I can't find any. Never seemed to put a dent in my pod population.

It did look like it was eating the pods off the glass...I’m relieved they aren’t going to be an issue...thanks for the replies
