Hello all. I am very new to this hobby, but so far really enjoying it. I have a 65g tank with 13 snails in it. My rock I bought dry and have been going through the cycle. I added the snails about 4 weeks into the cycle to take care of the diatom overgrowth. I was watching my snails and one of them was standing straight up and looked like it sneezed. I watched it do this roughly 5 times. It looked like a bunch of little green eggs. My question I guess is are these eggs or is it something completely different? I also noticed today that I have these white dots showing up on my glass, not sure what those are either. Thanks for the help in advance.

Dan.

For snails in water, the snail often just sends the sperm cells into the water, and they swim to the eggs in other snails.

It's referred to as broadcast-spawning, both egg and sperm are released into the water, fertilization takes place in the absence of a snail, externally.
