Snail takeover!

I literally have 1000's of these small snails in my 24g tank just curious what kind they are.

not sure what they are if they are cerith they are fine but as a rule of thumb if it has a pointy shell it isnt good

I had an explosion of these in my tank. They grew in size fairly quick and seem content to graze the glass and rock. No negative consequences that I can tell...

If it has a snout like a snorkel sticking out then you need to start getting rid of them. That pics looks similar to a type of whelk I have in my tank. They are snail and clam eaters. They will reproduce in your aquarium too.

The only negative consequence would be they keep getting sucked into my mp10...oh well.
