Snail That Eats Acro's

I found this guy a couple weeks back. It hasn't moved from its original spot on a rock for some time. Until this morning when I notice a one inch chunk on the encrusted base of my acro was white and the snail was firmly attached to it. This acro was perfectly healthy just 12 hrs ago, so it wasn't eating algae.

Yes, it looks like Coralliophila sp and this is a genus of coral predator snails. I could not state the species, seeing only one photo; For a better check, a few more would be needed, also showing the shell opening and a frontal view, but that matters little for the decisions that need to be made.

Thanks for the ID, I was starting to think we were all crazy! Acro eating snail. ha yeah right!
