Snail Type Creature

I spotted this guy in my tank last night, but could not grab him quick enough. I was able to get him out today, but it looks like I accidentally chopped him in half, although the shell side is still moving fine. What in the world is this, and do I get rid of it? The shell side is fairly flat.

Thinking its a Stomatella.

Mentions that they can breakaway part of their foot if being attacked. Very neat! Hope the little guy makes a smooth recovery!

Yep stomatella snail. Great guy to have but toss his butt that he dropped lol

I threw it in the trash. These guys are quick! I was aggressive with him tonight and pulled out the big tweezers. I was thinking he was some sort of nudibranch. Looked more like a slug, than a snail.
