I have seen this crawling on my glass a few times. He looks like one of my snails without his shell. Is this possible? I do have stomatellas, but this guy is the size of a regular trochus or turbo. About a half inch long. Does anyone know what he could be? Thanks.

Stomatella snail....it's a small partial shell. They are good. They can grow up to about an inch long.

Their shells remind me of abalone shells. Also a fun fact, they’ll drop their tail/part of their foot when threatened. So its not uncommon to see stomatellas missing parts of their foot.

I took this one today. You can see his half shell a little better.

Teenage mutant ninja snail...snail in a half shell...snail power! :p
