Hi I just found this today and wonder if anyone know what this is? Is it a baby snail?

That gray round shell shape thing

Keyhole limpets...have been known to occasionally munch on sps.

Hmm I don’t know how they got into my tank. Is there any way to get rid of them?

Limpets are a relative of snails - anything that would effect the one would effect the other (and a lot of the other living things in your tank!). I have a couple in my tank, and they've done wonders for keeping algae down - I've not seen them on my own corals, but that's just me. They probably hitched in on rock or a frag plug.

I have never seen them damage any livestock but if you have a lot of them the babies are so small they can get into everything and cause issues with equipment such as jamming pumps and preventing ATO “float” switches like the one Tunze uses from functioning properly..
