I treated my tank a few months ago with Cupramine, followed by using Cuprasorb. I'm getting some snails, I've never quarantined snails in the past but after reading a few posts here, i'm thinking I should be? But now I don't know where.

Does Cuprasorb really remove all traces of copper or cupramine? Is it safe to put snails in there?

I just got 2 new fish yesterday that are in the QT, a bicolor angel and a scooter blenny, so I don't know what to do with the snails that are arriving in a couple days.

I personally never did, but anything that can carry water from another tank can carry ich. Cupramine can easily be removed with a carbon filter. I once used it on a 290 gallon system and added inverts the next day without issue after using a carbon filter. As for cuprasorb I cannot say

activated carbon can remove cupramine copper because the copper in cupramine is bound to organic molecules (chelated I believe is the term), so you can use carbon, however cuprasorb is specifically sold to remove copper including cupramine, so if your activated carbon is not having to filter a lot of other DOC (dirty water for lamens terms), it can likely suffice to remove the cupramine copper, but if you think your water is very dirty, you can use cuprasorb instead (or together with activated carbon) to target the copper specifically, since cuprasorb does not adsorb dissolved organic carbons like activated carbon does.

I used cuprasorb and then added a bag of carbon to one of the filters, which had been in there for a couple months, I just removed it.
Maybe I’ll add new carbon just to be extra super safe. . Thanks!!
