I have had a 13.5 gallon running for about two months and coral is doing well and fish as well

But when I add any snails they tend to die within a few hours

Only running,

chemi blue pro
Filterfloss
Media reactor with rowaphos
Bio max

Wondering if anyone has a thoughts on this

They die from copper poisoning, inappropriate parameters or predation. Blenny can kill snails and sometime goby flip them which makes easier for blenny. What type of clownfish do u hv? If u hv not seen your fish messing, u can try from different source

Snails require a very good acclimation - Not a plop and drop and are sensitive to immediate changes in nitrates/temps/salinity why the acclimation plays a role. I never drop mine in but lower with a set of tongs. Your po4 is at an acceptable high.

Yeah it wouldn’t be the fish I have never seen them messing with them at all, they tend to puff out and die. I’ve sat and watched it die within 30 minutes sometimes,
All my parameters are good l, and the water I use for that tank is the same water I use for my main display and I have not one issue after about 5 months with any snails or anything

just real confused

I acclimate for about 15-20 minutes is that too little ?
I always pick up and set them with tongs as well

Yes- You want to triple the water assuring salinity and ph have been adjusted to same as your tank.
Note that snails will be dormant at times for a day or two, then start to move about. If they fall out of shells, then truly dead

That’s what they are doing puffing out of the shell and flopped and wouldn’t move for a day at least
