No, I havent gotten anything new since the bumblebee's... which is why I am confused. I have other snails...but these look like a cross between them, and nassarius snails, meaning I think I see little idk what they're called...snorkels? lol sorry
Any idea where they came from, ie: hitchhiked on live rock, coral, etc.?

Sounds like you caught two already! Hitchhikers I'd imagine.
well, I've been wanting another little toby puffer...think he'd eat them? I mean, I am going to have to use a fish net for all these! there's hundreds! dang it!! :confounded-face:

Maybe - but I didn't realize we were talking about hundreds... (don't think your fish could even begin to keep up)

Do they go under the sand? I agree they look like whelks. Which welk will determine if they're bad (beyond being a nuisance).

well, I am easily able to get a net, and start scooping them. I honestly thought that they were bumblebee's, as that's the only thing I added. I cannot for the life of me, figure out where they would have come from... last coral was bought last August.
so, aside from manual removal, how would be the best way to handle this?

No they do not. rocks and glass only! I feel so stupid, letting this go for this long, before asking for ID.

Chances are they hitchhiked on something when they were really small. For future reference...

right. but I do have those, probably about 50, which is why initially I thought these could be babies...:disappointed-face:

I thought I read somewhere that bumblebee snails will prey on other snails if hungry enough? Maybe you already have a solution?
