Snails in sump....

So when I moved my established rocks to my new sump (new tank set up); 3 snails went along for the ride. 1 large Mexican and 2 small Ast (?).

I didn’t think they would do any harm, but they having been traveling lately. I moved them back to rocks in sump the first time.

Should I move them to display? My concern is that they make there way to the return pumps (or even block the skimmer pump). Thoughts and suggestions are appreciated.

I don't have any snails in my sump , but all the pumps in the my sump have screens,

Assuming like most sumps yours doesnt have a screen/top i wouldnt since they will just end up climbing out and dying. Dead snails smell really bad, bad enough youll smell it throughout your home.

Snails aren't overly bright and will, undoubtedly, make their way to any intake accessible to them. It's most likely a death sentence for them.

Better to be safe that sorry to move them back to DT in case they cause any equipment failure .
